I've been a fan of Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist for a long time, but not anymore. The company is promoting its new formula with the following slogan: "Our most famous product just got even better. Formulated with a new, specially grown Jurlique rose extract that has been shown to improve skin barrier hydration.” Unfortunately, the new formula has almost no rose scent, and the aroma is more lemony and soft; it also has an astringent effect on the skin. Losing its signature mild fragrance and superior moisturizing quality, the new spray seems no different from the wide range of less expensive toners on the market. Perhaps Jurlique is buying Damask Rose from an inferior and cheaper supplier, or it has reduced the amount of this expensive oil in a new formulation. Regardless of the explanation, the quality of the product has deteriorated.
