Bought the Elite OEM strap back in December and loved it initially. I knew people complained about the side straps breaking, but I assumed it was due to mishandling. Mine broke after 7 months. I could send it in for an exchange but it breaks again so I went with a cheaper version. The construction is surprisingly solid. On par with the elite OEM strap; maybe even better. The back is comfortable, but because it's more ribbed, it doesn't match the shape of an OEM Elite harness. The quick spin dial is adequate but not as responsive as the elite OEM strap. I assume if this headset fails it will be quick, but that's just a guess. The biggest difference between the OEM Elite Band and this Elite Band is the reinforced extension that wraps around the ears. You can see it in my second photo. This extra structure should help keep the original Elite band from breaking. Unfortunately, those side extensions make it almost impossible to wear in-ear headphones during your quest. It's almost an issue for me and other reviewers didn't mention it. Finally, I've seen many people complain about the size of the battery pack holder. It's big enough. Adding a 10,000mAh battery increases the playback time to 8 hours, which is more than enough. My power bank is the EAFU Portable Charger, which is a compact 10000mah dual high speed LED display 3A power bank. It has been a good power bank so far. I will update this post if/when this strap fails. If you're on the borderline between this harness and an elite OEM harness, I would recommend this harness at the moment.
