For an expensive cutter, it has the dreaded disadvantage that when objects are placed near the right edge, the cuts are NOT perfectly square. You can easily see this by laying a piece of paper along this edge with the side of the paper along the cut edge. The paper SHOULD line up perfectly with the cut edge, but instead at 20 inches the difference is almost 1mm! This way you never end up with angular cuts. The old one I had was defective so four years after I bought it and sometimes noticed it didn't work and then realized the right edge didn't work I bought another one thinking maybe I could use it in the run of years have damaged . FOUR YEARS LATER a new one arrived with the exact same manufacturing defect! So this is a systemic issue for this brand. I just ordered a Rototrim which hopefully doesn't have this problem. when you clean the device with water (not even soapy water, just warm water and a paper towel). I don't really use them though as they have come loose which is probably why I didn't realize the device was misaligned.
