Better than I expected
I hooked up a full size 8 ohm bookshelf speaker first (using only one of the two channels. It worked surprisingly well. Keep in mind this is not a unit for the audiophile Sound quality is. But for voice sound quality was great. I later plugged in two smaller 8 ohm speakers and again the sound quality and volume control worked better than expected. For the price this is a very cool and functional device. Give it a 9 -V battery run and supply enough power.
