Review on Impressive IOGEAR Compact USB-C Docking Station with PD Pass-Thru - GUD3C03: Ultimate Connectivity Hub by Jason Rosekrans

I ordered this in hopes that I could reduce the number of keys on my Macbook. I currently have a standalone Ethernet/USB-B combo, HDMI/USB-B/USB-C dongle, and Thunderbolt dongle. I didn't expect to be able to replace ALL with it. It turns out that it can only replace the HDMI / USB-B / USB-C adapter. Neither the device itself nor the documentation/packaging indicate which MAC address is used for the Ethernet port. My Macbook doesn't recognize the ethernet port so I can't use my computer to check this. No MAC address, no access to my work network. Thunderbolt: The product description makes it clear that multiple monitors are not supported unless the device itself is open, which defeats the purpose of using Thunderbolt. But I can't get it to recognize a second daisy chain monitor at all. One of the reasons I continue to be a Mac user is the ease of use and ease of deploying new hardware. In both cases this is not very good. But because it copies my HDMI/USB-B/USB-C dongle I gave it two stars.
