was looking for a fixed blade peeler, bought it based on good reviews. However, the knife was very disappointing. The blade is not sharp, it jams constantly and the handle is shaped in such a way that it cannot be held at the right angle. Instead of a nice long peel, it just flakes off. It's almost impossible to get into the folds. I can peel potatoes in a quarter of the time with a paring knife. If you need to peel carrots here and there, this might work for you. But it's no tool for a serious batch of mashed potatoes. This item should get zero stars for not working but one is minimal and the red dot on the handle is a bit odd so it's two. Buy it if you really want to use it as a peeler.
