При покупке нового автомобильного головного устройства есть три слова/фразы, которые имеют большое влияние на решение о покупке: "подходит", "подходит с модификацией" , и "not suitable". The truth is that with the right ingenuity and individual work, anything can be achieved. For the average DIY consumer (non-enthusiast), the modifications required to convert "not fit" to "fit" are generally out of the question, especially when Mr. DIY considers the prospect to hack his multi-kilo tank. "Will not fit" today means that the device in question either does not fit in the factory dash cut-out, or there is no prefabricated installation kit that fits in the factory cut-out and aftermarket radio. Because there are so many variations of both, it is becoming increasingly difficult for bracket manufacturers to assemble every combination. Built in Bluetooth and HD Radio(tm) tuner in my 2003 Toyota 4Runner Limited with JBL Synergy, a terrible excuse for factory 'premium' sound System was completely custom, including wiring (complete departure from premium freak show).I was happy with what I saw at the time I received the package A few notes: (1) The product name on amazon.com says it said to be a 2006 Toyota 4Runner, but the Scosche website says it's a 2003. years and certain factory equipment. I can confidently say that this mount "fits" a 2003 model with a JBL/RDS system. (2) This is not trim, but a complete bracket and bezel replacing the factory metal block. This is because the double DIN block can be moved forward slightly to accommodate the hinged face blocks and mount flush with the factory dash. Anyway, this is my take on what I saw; Still, the Scosche implementation does the job well. The package includes a faceplate, left and right mounting brackets, six pan head screws, and six flush mounting screws to attach the left and right brackets to the main unit. The left and right brackets are attached to the front panel, then the main unit is inserted into the front panel and the brackets are attached to the side of the main unit with the screws provided. I used pan head screws (three on each side) without seeing how flush mount screws could be used in this application. Because the mounts are plastic, there is a certain amount of flex when tightening the screws, but this doesn't cause any fitment issues. Screws do not need to be tightened; They're short, but they won't go anywhere - just neat will work just fine. I had a little trouble fitting the whole block into the factory cutout. Inside the dashboard are four screw holes and four alignment tabs. Leveling wasn't a problem; as if depth were an issue. Either there is some kind of obstruction caused by a difference in the metal and plastic mounts OR something specific to my rig is causing the hanging. There's a lot of I/O behind this head unit: six RCAs for audio, a power harness, an XM radio cable, steering wheel control module, Bluetooth mic, etc. so I'll go back and make sure I don't have a cable plugged in. He went in and all the screws were in place, so I don't suspect a real problem with the Scosche device. I will edit this review with my findings. When I put everything together, everything looked very good. I would give a 98% match bezel for MY main unit and a 95% match bezel for MY main unit. There are very slight gaps in the factory fairing on the sides - less than 1/16" - and no gaps in the head unit. There were no obstacles to opening/closing the front panel; no kinks and no snags. Pioneer has a feature that lets you tilt the screen to different angles from below, and it remembers your preferences. I was able to fold down the bottom so the front of the head unit is flush with the front panel - looks very nice. If you have 2003-2009. 5th generation. Can't tell) 4Runner with factory JBL/RDS and you want a dual din head unit, it's the only game in town. This mount will also work with non-folding head units but for these I can recommend the Metra 95-8210 Double Din Installation Kit for 2003-2007 Toyota 4Runner Limited as I installed it on a Pioneer AVH-P2300DVD 5.8" In-Dash Got a double - DIN DVD AV receiver with iPod/iPhone control that I've replaced that fits as well or better than Scosche and attaches to a factory metal bracket at an unbeatable price.
