It's 2020 and everyone with a sewing machine seems to be working hard so when I wanted to buy more of my Coates & Clarke all purpose thread I bought this instead after seeing the price triple. my old reserve. So far it seems to work just as well and much better than the overlock cones I've been looking at recently. Pros: This is about the most amount of thread I can put on my Brother machine's spool pin. Also, it is wound on a rod, not a spool, so the thread runs more smoothly. Cons: It's not on a reel so I'm afraid it will turn into a confusing bird's nest. I keep the ones I use in a thread control grid and haven't had any obfuscation issues so far.
