I tried installing them on a 2005 GT using a universal brake tool. The universal tool is box shaped and attaches to the end of the socket. I have used this tool on other vehicles including my wife's 01" V6 Mustang with no problem. I found the 05 GT significantly harder and mine is harder, I mean bloody impossible. I had to go to a parts store and rent a $50 brake kit (fully refundable), it was quick to install. The pads themselves are great, stopping distance is much shorter and they are quiet. It's winter now and I'm not afraid of dust at the moment.
