We were remodeling our kitchen and got one of those large stainless steel sinks that we LOVE BUT hate cleaning because the drain isn't that good , so you get chunks of food etc that fell on the surface. So I decided to try this thing, and it really works — not only can I shove all the trash down the drain, but I can push the water from the counter down the sink after I've washed the dishes. I once spilled sugar on my countertop and the unit's brush was perfect for sweeping it off the counter and into the bin, which I carried to the edge of the counter. Luckily, our granite countertop is flush with the edges of the sink so it sits perfectly on the rim. If you have a rounded edge or flange around a sink, you can't expect it to sit on the edge.
