I have an Aqueon brand cap for my 10 gallon tank. Requires fluorescent lamps. The bulb burned out and I bought a replacement bulb which blew out after two days. Bought another one, same problem. Something is wrong with these lightbulbs. I thought I would have to buy a new LED dome and saw this little light so I decided to give it a try. I built it a little differently. I pulled the blown bulb out of the hood and installed this little light bar with the control bar right in the middle. I used the clips that came with the kit to route the cable through the side of the hood. And so far so good! It's really light at just six inches. I used to have an 18 inch fluorescent lamp. The small 6 inch light is much brighter! So far I'm very satisfied, I hope it lasts a long time.
