Insert batteries and everything works as it should.

This is an exact copy of the original. Definitely from the factory. My original remote started losing buttons and was so worn out that the circuit board under the buttons didn't work either. Any universal remotes that say you can use them for all your electric remotes in one WILL NOT WORK WITH THIS TV.
