Our son is 11 years old, 5'6" and weighs 77 pounds. This year he wore a size 10 until it got too hot and I figured they would be too small for the start of the school year as he was already having a growth spurt. In the end I decided on size 12. It has arrived and I am very happy with my purchase. It is elastic and very comfortable. It has an adjustable waist, which I currently have pulled almost all the way to keep it from being too loose for our son. It's a bit long but I think in 4 months time when denim season comes he will be very comfortable. Or we roll it up and it still looks stylish. I like the fit of the jeans and the position of the back pockets.
