Very good handle. The eye is just big enough that you can firmly attach it without working on it all day. The direction of the growth rings is correct, which many pen manufacturers get wrong. The V-groove is deep enough to align the saw blade as you deepen it, but not so deep that it's impossible for you to align. No knots, twisted fibers, flakes/splinters etc. This is by far the best I could have hoped for.
