I have yet to find a hairpin or headband that really doesn't get in the way. I have long thick hair which makes it very heavy. I am also very sensitive to pain. This goody bobby pin presses against my hair and creates a pulling pressure on my scalp. This may not be a problem for those who are not very sensitive and for those who have short and not heavy hair. It's somewhat easy to use but requires some experimentation. Can't comment on durability as I've only worn the hair clip a couple of times, but it feels a little flimsy and could become an issue with continued use. I probably won't be able to wear it for long, so for me it could last indefinitely.
