I used it to cut potatoes into perfect slices. A combination of a slicing blade and a serrated blade made perfect slices for potato soup that broke nicely as it cooked. The suction power on a hard work surface is excellent. I believe the suction discomfort is due to improper placement on a tiled countertop, but wiping down the floor with a damp cloth before attempting to vacuum helps. A wide range of blades can serve many purposes. Use your imagination for endless possibilities. I don't buy expensive specialty cuts like sliced or grated carrots, and I don't buy shredded cabbage. I haven't tried cheese yet, but I have no doubt that this product will help. Over time, the savings on pre-cut foods will pay off. The device can be easily disassembled for cleaning. I like the blade storage box. This keeps everything together in one convenient place, and the unit fits nicely under a cupboard but, unlike my full-size food processor, always pulls out easily. This is a win-win product and the seller was excellent with a small issue.
