Data loss occurs.

Attempting to use this mount with a fast SSD will result in data loss. The quality of the material is "absolute rubbish" and the signal path between the connectors is not shielded, which leads to a deterioration in signal quality and even loss of data. Likely to work with first generation SATA and older mechanical drives, but not the latest SATA SSDs.

Pros

Simply remove the CD/DVD-ROM drive and snap this hard drive tray (with the hard drive added) in its place. Fully integrated into laptop, no cables/power/software drivers required
