Do all ports on the docking station work as advertised

There are times when you have something don't want plug and play. This is one of those devices that was initially difficult to get the PC to recognize it and is "somewhat" incompatible with the Yoga 900 in terms of reliability. I've since upgraded to an HP Specter 360, and Plug and Play doesn't recognize all the ports on the device most of the time. Without drivers and updates, the docking station becomes an expensive USB 3 hub. I couldn't get the device to use the extra USB-C port and HDMI port on the HP. The HDMI port worked on the Yoga, but the USB C didn't. Both laptops were running Windows 10. I know some will say it's a Windows issue, but it's the responsibility of the manufacturers of these devices to ensure the "universal" dock works as universally as possible.

Pros
  • 4K Ultra HD (4096 x 2160) resolution for a single monitor at 60Hz via HDMI or DisplayPort or dual monitors at 30Hz
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
