Review on 🚰 Optimized Commercial Faucet Installation Kit: Backsplash Mount Set for Stainless Steel Kitchen Prep & Utility Sink by Jason Dahlkemper

Almost solves a common problem.

When connecting a stainless steel sink as a freestanding unit there are inevitable problems connecting a faucet. The faucet likely uses a 1/2"-14 female NPT thread designed to connect to a hard threaded fitting. However, the flush hoses use a type of compression fitting that requires a straight thread rather than a tapered thread. This item solves the problem almost, but doesn't really. The fitting has straight 1/2" ISP threads that don't provide a watertight seal with 1/2" 14 NPT threads. My solution: slip a 1/2 "NPT pipe head on the threads on the longer side. Elbow. Screw in until about 1/2" or 7 threads enter the die. You now have tapered threads. Check the fit. Use pipe lube. No problem.
