Review on Dell UltraSharp U2711: 27 Inch Widescreen Monitor with High Resolution, Anti-Glare Display by William Gadit

Excellent monitor, I do not regret the purchase. I've had a Samsung before and it was good but not what I expected in terms of overall performance. This and many other similar monitors just didn't render grayscale as accurately as I would have liked. Dell excels in this area! Dark colors are crisp and clear. When you watch a movie like Harry Potter where most of the movie is dark, the blacks and grays don't mix like they did on my previous monitor. I can't say how accurate the colors are because I don't have anything to measure them with, but they look good and believable. Don't oversaturate. As for the anti-glare coating, which has been criticized by many, I don't notice it. I completely forgot about it until I started writing this review. I'm not saying it's not there, but it doesn't bother me, but I only sit at my computer 2-4 hours a day. I didn't get it because of one of the monitor's input functions or mechanical settings, but I've come to love it. I don't think I'll ever go back to a monitor that isn't set up that way! It's very beautiful and solid. Nothing about this monitor feels fragile. All the inputs, extra USB ports and memory card readers came in really handy as my computer doesn't have many USB ports.
