So I took my time, researched various ROKU devices and settled on this ultra living room version. Installation was very easy. I had a problem trying to connect it to my old Samsung TV. Pairing was easy, but my TV didn't like any of the codes. The one I finally found doesn't have all the buttons properly mapped, so silly things happen from time to time, like subtitles turning on all of a sudden. LAUGH OUT LOUD. But the basic functions work, power, mute, volume etc. So everything is fine. The bracket fits perfectly on the back of my TV. Literally just plugged into the ventilation holes at the top. No problem. The remote control signal was perfect, no issues with the TV itself and I didn't have any buffering issues like the SMART TV. One of my favorite options is to connect headphones to the remote control for audio. That was the main reason I wanted this version. This is a feature of the blue tooth. They both serve the same purpose: to mute the TV so people can sleep but still enjoy the sound of my shows when streaming at night. The remote's batteries really suck with this use of the headphones, which makes sense. However, this is not a deal breaker for me. Overall a great device and I'm glad I bought it. Oh, it also works with a projector I recently bought. So that kind of flexibility is a great option.
