There are some slight differences between these straps and the original: Kevlar fibers buckle on the sides of the straps with wear. Higher tone than standard gates. Belt. I've ridden them about 200 miles so far and they're holding up great. I'm a fairly light rider (135lbs) and where I live there isn't much climbing, but the road quality is terrible and I tend to ride the board very aggressively. Overall I would recommend these straps if you don't mind your board sounding a little different. (I compared Gates and Kevlar belts side by side. The difference in sound is not due to the motors.)
