The sleeves are long enough! Other reviews said this was good for broad shoulders and a larger chest. That is correct. I got the XL and it fits well. I would not be able to wear a sweatshirt under this coat because of the fit in the shoulders unless I did order a 2XL. That is what I normally order in women's sizes because of shoulder and chest fit. I like the jacket and the way it fits. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the Velcro closures. They don't work great and seem to be stuck on rather than sewn on and seem a little cheap. Also, you can't throw this jacket in the washer. That was a bummer.
