Review on 1995-2016 Toyota Tacoma Third Brake Light Replacement – Black Cover, LED Center High Mount Stop Lamp with Cargo and Reverse Brake Lights by Wayne Seba

The end result is satisfactory but replacing this lamp with 1995.5-2001 is not an easy task. I have an extended cab. All the rear plastic of the cab had to come out and the backdrop had to be lowered. I removed enough plastic to lower the headliner and access the screws by bending the pads a bit. It probably would have been easier to get a replacement lens cap from Toyota as the all weather seal was still in great condition. I would also replace the bulbs with LEDs. Anyway, that third brake light seems to be better made than most unbranded Chinese items I get from Revain. The factory electrical connector didn't want to fit this product's connector exactly, but I got it to work without splicing the wires. I painted the included screws black, partly to prevent corrosion. Unlike factory lighting, you cannot easily remove the lens cap once installed, requiring you to reverse the installation process to replace rusty screws.
