Brand new third brake light looks great and has worked great so far. Easy to install and no modification required, comes with strong gasket and longer screws, but you can still use original screws. The LEDs are quite bright, although the lens is darkened.

I gave the lantern 4 stars for ease of installation only because getting the old lantern out was a headache. Still, this lantern is great. It's a lot brighter than my old light and I know the light can be seen even on a sunny day. Plus, I'll never have to replace those regular headlights again.

I had to modify the electrical connector by cutting and soldering the original connector to this unit to make it work properly. I noticed that other users had similar problems. If I didn't have these skills, this product wouldn't work properly. Otherwise the quality is good.

Direct replacement for the original device. Comes with a new gasket with adhesive on both sides. Removing the old block is difficult due to the adhesive on the foam pad. Remove the old plastic spatula. Use a goof-off adhesive remover to remove the old gasket residue. The new unit is a plug and play electrical switch. Looks well assembled. Although I would like it to be brighter.

Bought to match my tinted taillights which fit perfectly but 1. It is said to be ready for the 2nd gen Tacoma. I had to move both pins connected to the 3rd brake light down to be "plug and play". After that they connected normally.2. condensation after washing. Did everything right, probably somehow sealed wrong? 3. If it weren't for these cons, I would give 5 stars. I love looking at smoke!

Received mine today, looked good in the packaging, mounting hardware included so everything is fine, no instructions as many people claim. I read in other reviews that they got a new gasket with glue on both sides, I only had glue on one side! I applied this page to the vehicle and hope it works. I also tried matching the harness pins to match the truck harness and it worked, but there was a disconnecting issue while driving, so I went ahead and connected the wires. A little more work, but…

Easy installation, typical of Tacoma interiors, removing the trim, particularly half the roof panel, you will need an 8mm deep wellhead, or if you had how For me they were only hand tightened. The end result is satisfactory but replacing this lamp with 1995.5-2001 is not an easy task. I have an extended cab. All the rear plastic of the cab had to come out and the backdrop had to be lowered. I removed enough plastic to lower the headliner and access the screws by bending the pads a bit. It probably would have been easier to get a replacement lens cap from Toyota as the all weather seal was still in great condition. I would also replace the bulbs with LEDs. Anyway, that third brake…
