I believed the reviews that this didn't affect the brightness or quality of the screen, but that's just not true. It's very difficult to see at full brightness and worst of all it has a bluish tint. I kept looking for another layer to clean the outside but no, it's just blue. This is unsuitable for someone who works a lot with photos and graphics. If it just dimmed the screen without changing the case I could handle it. Changing my screen to blue is just not possible for me. If the colors don't matter, then that's fine. Very disappointed as it was an expensive waste for something that didn't work at all. The privacy filter works, but I can still read the screen in the position my neighbor is sitting in on the plane, which is why I bought it. Too bad it didn't work!
