Review on πŸ’ͺ DEWALT DCD985B 20V Lithium 2-Inch Drill: Power and Versatility at Your Fingertips by Aaron Franklin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I work as an elevator builder and this drill can really handle heavier loads.

I'm an elevator builder and this drill is really good for heavy work. I drill steel beams and hammer concrete a lot every day and I had one that lasted almost 4 years. I love the fact that since it's not brushless you can push it a little harder, unlike the newer brushless models that other guys I know have struggled with, be it Dewalt or Milwaukee. There seems to be a built in sensor on the brushless models that if it gets too hot or is pressed too hard it will cut power by making you wait for it to cool down. The complaint with older models is that the brushes wear out, but for $120 it's worth banging a few years out of this thing and then buying a new one. If you're just a handyman/housewife, you'll have this tool for life. After all, it's money well spent and a good heavy-duty drill.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Some bugs
