1. I want to be honest; I was looking for a replacement skimmer because one of my kids must have thrown away one of mine. I wasn't looking for such a set but it was the cheapest price. It's ok if you like shiny chrome reflective cutlery. Mine are polished nickel and look different than these but then again I just wanted a spoon lol. Ever since I got these pieces, I often use salad tongs. They work great! They are not very easy to store because you cannot close them, but the spring is good and looks well made. I will use them, but I will not submit anything to the company with them. Just for me and my kids because again it doesn't fit and it's just not my style. They look a little cheap in my opinion. I wouldn't give it away, but it's enough for an extra skimmer. Keep in mind that you can't close them, so you need to have enough room to hold pliers wide open. Hope this helps someone make a decision.
