After posting the review, the seller contacted us with many suggestions and fixes to solve our main complaint about this camera app which is the inability to upload videos/pictures from the camera to another device. While our issue with the app persists, we're happy to raise our overall score up a notch due to the seller's excellent communication and helpfulness. If a specific issue with the app (see below) is fixed in the future, we might even consider upgrading the rating to five stars. It's almost six months since we bought and installed this camera. He usually does what is expected of him and does it sensibly. We believe this product is good value. And at this price, some compromises are to be expected. The question is whether you can accept them. For us, there is a problem with this camera (actually in the application) that stands out, which we will discuss below. Here's a summary of what we've seen during ownership: Works even at -15 degrees Fahrenheit, solar panel works well, great customer service, good value for money CONS: Bizarre app, slow recording start, night vision prone to optical distortion (bullets ). Some of the "CONS" are not really unique to this camera. Some that cost more often face the same problems. The main disadvantage of this camera lies in the CloudEdge app. In particular, the application does not allow the user to download videos and still images from the cloud or from the SD card. You read that right. You can see what the camera has recorded, but not download it. There is an imperfect workaround for this problem (using the 'Record' feature), but it doesn't work very well. The seller went so far as to offer their tech department to download the videos we needed, which is a very nice touch, but such a task shouldn't be that difficult. Other camera apps offer this functionality, which CloudEdge should have included from the start. That being said, there's no denying that this camera remains value for money, particularly. because this combo pack includes an efficient solar panel. For those of you who live in cold climates like us, please note that our device survived several days in -15 degrees Fahrenheit (this is below official specs). If you can live with some of the app's shortcomings, including the ones mentioned above, this camera might be for you.
