My 11 year old Jack Russell had a lot of double arthritis especially in his shoulders. She saves a puppy factory, she has a pacemaker, she miraculously beats protein-losing nephropathy - she's Wonder Woman! She takes Adecan, Cozekin and Gabapentin for her arthritis but the pain is still there. All she wants to do is play and it is heartbreaking to see her struggle while playing, climbing stairs, etc. These self-heating mats are wonderful. Very soft, and "wrinkles" do not bother them. She is very picky, so we "tricked" her by putting her under a light blanket that she likes or by sitting next to us. They give off a pleasantly soft warmth and as soon as she makes herself comfortable, she falls asleep immediately! Great value - love pads big and small - and great value. I would definitely recommend them for sick dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, extra padding and warmth in crates and carriers etc!
