Not recommended. I bought this to use as an extension cord through a phone case that doesn't fit in the gusset of my headphones. The side I plug into the phone works fine (male), but the other end (female) keeps pushing the headphones out and I lose sound. I have to physically hold the phone in my hand to use this adapter because when I put it in my pocket, the headphones turn off immediately. It also doesn't support the control buttons (volume up/down and pause) on my headphone line. Instead, you need to buy something else.
