Functional intervalometer but I would like some improvements

Works very similar to my wireless intervalometer from another company. It works as it should. It's easy to program and easy to use. A cable length of 5-6 feet is sufficient. It is designed so that you can end up swapping out the pigtail for different types of cameras. So if you have more than one camera or have upgraded to a camera that requires a different connection, you can still use this intervalometer. You just need to buy the right pigtail to connect it. Incidentally, this was equipped with both Canon connections. I do not agree with this device because it does not have a switch-off function. It simply turns itself off after a period of inactivity, but then wakes up when a button is pressed. While I'm trying to make sure it's not just lying on the bottom of my camera bag where a bunch of stuff can be dumped on it, it should still be in positions where the buttons are unintentionally pressed, so it's wasted. Battery life. As proof that I've had my wireless intervalometer for several months, it turns on and off and I use it a lot more. But the batteries in this wired device needed replacing a few weeks ago, while my wireless device is still running on its first set of batteries and my wireless device stays on until it is turned off. The simple solution is to remove the batteries when not in use, but as I mostly shoot on the fly, not having everything ready isn't an option and I'd be furious if I grabbed my stuff and didn't. I have batteries for it and really needed to use them. Another thing I don't like is the noise it makes when running, which resets automatically when you change batteries. There is no single dedicated mute button; You must go through programming steps to get to this feature. I don't understand why you need sound at all. Bought "used" for about $12. That works fine. I want them to repeat it with an on/off button and remove the beep. One thing I would have liked on this device, as well as my wireless device and many other cameras, is a small loop hole through the lanyard thread so you can attach it to a tripod or camera strap.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Not happy with everything
