No assembly instructions. The plastic seat could have had more screws to make it more secure. Here's what I did: 1. Stick the rubber band on the metal plate to protect the bike rack.2. Mounts 2 footrests per plate3. Mount the assembly to the horizontal beam with 2 rubber U-clips: Secure the U-clips to the metal plate and beam with 4 long bolts and nuts. I only used 2 screws which is fine with me but over time the seat can gradually move off center.4. Fix the plastic seat on the metal plate with 2 screws, washers and nuts.5. If necessary, use cable ties to secure the footpeg rods to the lower beam.6. Enjoy.
