super easy. Hardly an inconvenience.
Among other things, I have been using this mandrel finder for a number of years. I run it along the wall about an inch from touching the wall and it pops out of my hand to stick to the wall wherever there are drywall screws (along the studs). It is very simple and has never failed, unlike two very expensive electronic bolts. Viewfinder I never use.
