These controllers look and work exactly like the original that came with the Mini-NES. I felt like there was a slight lag (or whatever you want to call it) when you try to change direction but don't relax and it won't change direction but that was operator error, since I synced it exactly into the original brand controller. The only aspect in which they are completely different from the original controller is the length of the cable. I was annoyed that the mini NES only came with a controller, but after experiencing the freedom of sitting just feet away from the NES and TV, I'm glad it did because that's what I was looking for . If you buy a mini NES, throw a few in the trash and don't worry about the controller that comes with the NES.
