Great unit for the price.

Great little speaker with BIG sound! I was surprised how loud it sounds without distortion. It even has a decent bottom. I didn't use it for a phone call, but if there isn't a lot of background noise it should be loud enough for a conversation. PROS: • I was able to connect it to my MP3 player via Bluetooth with no problems. • It can also play FM radio and music from a micro SD card (I haven't tried that). • The remote control works well. • The construction is very solid with quality parts - it includes all the cables and even an Allen key for installation CONS: • The ringer (remote only) is too loud and the volume cannot be changed. • To ensure waterproofness, all connections are covered with a rubber plug on the back of the device. That's good, but one of those ports is a remote control jack, and when it's plugged in, the lid stays open, exposing all the other ports. It also looks sloppy (see photo). It would be better if it connected to a rubber stopper from the bottom to keep moisture out when not in use. • The speakers had to be placed on the opposite side than they are now because: • The speakers are on the opposite side of the included carabiner loop (see image). So if you want the speaker to face up, the carabiner loop is on the bottom, which prevents the device from being snug against the mounting post. It still fits, just uncomfortable. The only other option is to place it with the speakers to the side or down, which will affect the sound quality. If you want to leave the carabiner in the loop when the device is in place, it also won't fit in the stand when the speakers are set up. • When the device is in the stand with the speakers facing up, the keypad is on the side. • Finally, there is a strip of metal that runs the full length of the device and is not shown in the photos in the ad (see my photos below). Again, this contradicts the speaker's position in the stand: when placed with the speakers facing up, the stripe is visible on the side. This does not affect the functionality, only the aesthetics. If these cons were corrected it would be an easy 5 star rating. Regardless, I still highly recommend it for use on a bike or even as a portable speaker.

Pros
  • ULTRA PORTABLE – Fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. Our humble 10.6 ounce mini speaker offers 15 hours of continuous playback. Strong and stable Bluetooth 4.0 connection up to 100 feet.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
