I had previously written a bad review and wanted to return it because the mop body didn't stick and kept coming loose. I thought this was a manufacturer error, but I started analyzing and comparing the picture on the box. The problem is with the assembly instructions, not the wiper, so I wanted to write to another reviewer to fix this and hopefully explain to others who may be having the same problem attaching the wiper to the base. In fact, I've found that even when not in use for cleaning, the black cleaning brush head needs to be put on, so once inserted, the black rubber tip will hook into the base and you should hear a slight click when it's done. then the wipe works great. The instructions should make it clear that the brush is more than an additional part and without it a proper attachment is not possible. I've seen other reviews similar to my first one where customers had the same issue so I hope this clarifies how to prevent parts from falling apart and how to fix this issue. I hope this prevents product returns, but I suggest creating a new manual explaining what the cleaning brush is and that it should be on even when the brush function is not in use.
