MTD 954-04060C Replacement Belt OEM Stens Review

This belt is trash! Snapped after 2 months of use. As some of the other reviewers mentioned it does not come packaged as pictured. It comes in a plastic bag with a part number on it, no manufaturer name and the only markings on the belt itself are the part number and made in India. I have no Idea if it is even made by Stens as they claim. Revain should stop selling this trash prduct! I bought this belt and put it on my mower 2 years ago. I just took the deck off of the mower to do the annual service and the belt still looks like new! I use the mower 9 months of the year, mowing in the spring and summer and bagging leaves in the fall. This belt has lasted much longer than the original equipment which I replaced twice the first year.

Belt was gouged and frayed. It did not come from an Revain warehouse. The Belt looked like it has a few months of use on it. Thanks for attention!

I purchased this belt to replace one that I purchased from Lowes that lasted all of about 6 mows. This belt seems to be even better quality than the original one that came with my TroyBilt Pony. Will definitely purchase this brand and belt again. Could not go wrong with the price either.

This belt was supposed to fit my Troybilt riding mower according to the model number. It was a bitch to install and shredded as soon as I put the blades down. I consulted with Curly, the local mower expert and he advised me that the belt was an inch too long. He went on to say that he had a lot of complaints about it. He sold me another belt and my mower has worked flawlessly since. Obviously I don't recommend this belt and I wonder how many people have been through this extremely frustrating…

Stens Belts are made in the USA, excellent quality Kevlar belts, and eligible for prime shipping. This belt exceeds the quality of the MTD brand made in china white belts we have bought in the past. Perfect replacement belt, watch out for non-prime third party vendors with products in the similar price range.

It fits perfect just like the original belt. I didn't have to spend almost double the amount by purchasing the name brand. This is a great price and lasts a long time.

Replaced oem belt for 42 inch MTD yard machine with this belt .my oem belt lasted 5 years with use of mower once a week from March to October with a little torque on the blades every now and then from the blades having to slow due to higher grass . Well I replace the belt with the stens it torque one time and stretch the belt by a inch . Purchased MTD Brand belt and replaced finished yard and have already cut the 1.5 acres 3 times no problems . MTD is stronger better . And only 10.00 more

Belt from lonestar cutting NOT as advertised, was a knock off mitsuboshi belt NOT a Stens as advertised. gave it 2 stars because I needed it right away and it at least did fit my cub cadet LTX 1042 doubt the quality is there but for the price and the necessity will take it this time, try another seller to try to get the Stens belt that is advertised.

Purchased this for my troybilt bronco mower I’m getting ready to sell. Perfect fit and great product. The old one kept coming off when I’d disengage the blades. Very frustrating. I’ll never buy another brand other than this one.

I had purchased another belt that lasted only 4 mows. I was going to put the original belt back on but the shipping on this product was so fast that I decided to try this one. The previous belt was way too long. This belt was a perfect fit for my Bronco. It ran like new yesterday as I mowed. If you have a Troy-Bilt Bronco, this is the belt for you!

Good fit. Went right on. But after a few uses, it is stretched bit. It comes off the pulley once in a while. That's my feedback!

It fit fine but only lasted a few months. Considering the work involved, I should have payed the extra $15 dollars at the JD dealer the first time.

This is a good belt IF you get an original version. I originally bought from MowTownUsa- it was cheap junk that broke during the second use. The generic knock-off was in a grey bag with NO Stens branding. The next one, I bought straight from Revain’s store. I ordered this belt for my Craftsman Riding mower with a 42" mower deck. It fits and functions exactly as the OE belt did. The belt appears to be the same quality as the original belt and should last the same 6 seasons I got out of the stock belt.

Gave it 2 stars because it looks like a good well made belt that would run fine for years however it doesn’t fit my 10 year old 42” CubCadet deck as advertised.Put it on and it’s about 2” too long, rubs on the pulley brake pads.Went to local CubCadet dealer and bought an OEM belt with the exact same part number, perfect fit.It wasn’t worth the hassle of doing the job twice to save $13. I will be retuning it.

Purchased June 22, installed Sept 22. Lasted about 10 mins, belt separated and exploded. Worked great until then. Past refund time frame, do not recommend.Correction, apparently you have to install correctly for it to work, thought it was a bad belt but it was a bad installation.

Good oem replacement. Quality looked good. Installed on a 42 inch Troy Bilt Bronco Riding Lawn mower Model 13WV78KS011 . I've mowed the lawn several times since the install and I haven't had any slippage of the pto.

Received item as described and shipping was quick. I have not installed item as of this time, so I can not comment on the form, fit and function aspects.

Ordered this belt for my mower. Easy install and no problems so far using it. Definitely better than the belt I bought from Lowes.
