Review on MTD 954-04060C Replacement Belt OEM Stens by Roy Ramos

This is a good belt IF you get an original version. I originally bought from MowTownUsa- it was cheap junk that broke during the second use. The generic knock-off was in a grey bag with NO Stens branding. The next one, I bought straight from Revain’s store. Belt is reddish color and arrived in a sten‘s branded cardboard sleeve.Symptoms of counterfeit belt:1- Black instead of dark red2- Plain rubber belt without the fiber texture of the original (see picture)2- Came without Stens-branding3- Didn’t "idle” correctly. It would catch and spin the blades occasionally when disengaged.4- Popped off multiple times.I’m glad the counterfeit broke so quickly Because I was able to return it for free.Shop carefully, my friends.
