Review on MTD 954-04060C Replacement Belt OEM Stens by Damian Grotting

This belt was supposed to fit my Troybilt riding mower according to the model number. It was a bitch to install and shredded as soon as I put the blades down. I consulted with Curly, the local mower expert and he advised me that the belt was an inch too long. He went on to say that he had a lot of complaints about it. He sold me another belt and my mower has worked flawlessly since. Obviously I don't recommend this belt and I wonder how many people have been through this extremely frustrating ordeal. I lost a lot of time, plus the cost of 2 belts and my grass was out of control by the time I got the issue resolved. I should have sent it back but I was so mad I threw it in the trash.
