Good material, helps with cable management and frees up space in the header. wire configuration disabled?
My desktop case has a large panel with a window, so I often see cables hanging around everywhere. This splitter was really good because now I could connect all 3 of my intake fans to 1 port. This made the mobo much less crowded, freeing up space and features for the 3 and 4 pin connector. Getting 2 splitters at this price is also very nice. However, there was something that confused me. For 3-pin extension plugs, the pin configuration is: One pin is separated by 1 slot from the other two in the plastic connector. It doesn't look like the 3 pin connector the fans are supposed to connect to and I couldn't connect them. Luckily I was able to carefully remove and reposition the insulated wire to make the correct 3 pin connector. If you need to do this as well, be sure to reinsert the wire in the correct orientation (see the other 2 wires for help). I did this for all 3 extension headers.
