Great investment for a small homebrew business

This brew bag is excellent. This is a 100% improvement over my old sump cooling system and a viable and affordable alternative to a Keezer. I just put a Belgian tripel in my fermenter and threw my 7 gallon wide mouth fermenter 6 days ago. The house is currently 75 (January in Florida) and the bag is very easy to customize. I started with a frozen 2 liter bottle of water for the first three days to keep the temp at 64 with plans to increase the temp to 70 in the last week. I had to switch to smaller freezer packs to keep the temp from dropping to 62 or below after the initial fermentation. The great thing is that this bag insulates well enough to prevent large temperature swings and gives you time to make small adjustments. I change bottles/ice packs about every 24 hours. I'm sure I can easily brew 50's beer this time of year and taste my first lager in this bag! I look forward to purchasing another of these packs to keep the fermenters running. I bought this because I didn't have the money or space for a dedicated beer cooler and I was tired of the swamp cooler's limited control. The only downside to this is that the top of the bag gets caught in the airlock, but with a little care that really isn't a problem. The bag comes with a shoulder strap for carrying, and I've carried it around the house with 5 gallons of beer without too much trouble. It was a worthwhile investment and I am very happy with the ability to control temperature effectively.

Pros
  • SPACE SAVING: Limited space? No problem! Fold up when done! Even brew in the closet! 100% waterproof and insulated. No more dirty emissions. Great gift!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
