Got this to replace Carlinkit 2.0 which stopped working after six months and had no tech support from them. This device looks just like the Carlinkit and behaves just as strangely. So far it boots fine and the Car Play screen comes up on my 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime. However, the volume controls in the car often no longer work with this device. When this happens, the controls for a regular radio or SiriusXM in the car work fine, so I know it has something to do with the device. Disconnecting and reconnecting the device to the vehicle's USB port usually resolves the issue. Both this and Carlinkit have the same issues, so I think they're very similar electronically. I've had it for a month and other than that it works as it should. Let's see how it holds up in six months!
