Excellent lens. This corresponds to 18-36mm on a 35mm camera. It replaces three fixed focal length lenses (20, 24 and 35 by 35 mm). I use it on a Panasonic body and it works great. It's very small and comfortable. I paid $499 for it, which is $200 less due to selling Olympus lenses. Detailed comparisons with other lenses are pointless. You won't notice any difference to real 3D objects. If you're making huge prints or looking at images at 500% magnification in Photoshop, you might see something, but not in normal use. Sure, you can only carry around fixed focal length lenses, but that's three lenses at these focal lengths, and each costs more than a 9-18 zoom. So buy this one. You can take great photos and no one will ever notice when looking at your work.
