Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Accurate Water Temperature Monitoring with DIGITEN Digital Aquarium Thermometer for Reptiles, Turtles, and Amphibians by Regina Poe

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I like the concept but needs a second revision.

This thing looks very sleek and definitely reads the temperature accurately, but it's actually pretty hard to see unless you're looking straight ahead, so after just a few times you got a better look at the Glue didn't stick it. It falls off several times during the night because there is no glue anywhere except at the bottom so the weight of the unsupported top causes it to detach from the glass and I had to resort to using double sided foam tape along the top to fix it to hold it in place. now activated. Also, I bought this to replace a previous temp sensor on the pretext that it has a high and low temp warning but doesn't have a speaker so it just flashes on and off. It might work if backlit very brightly or something, but it relies on ambient light getting through it to be visible. So unless I look at it directly, I could never tell that something is wrong. My heaters used to bust at night and the previous temp gauge beeped loud enough to wake me up, which actually saved my fish from cooking, but this? It will just blink uselessly all night. In terms of usefulness for rescuing your fish in an emergency, it doesn't beat these stick-on color changing strips. If you're ever considering a second makeover, add a real horn and add some glue along the top edge. It will go a long way to making this an instant recommendation from me.
