The ONLY way to cook both sides of a taco with this appliance is if you have a skillet/fryer with 4-6 inch oil. The bend in the pliers is at a completely ridiculous angle. For use with a regular frying pan, some oil, you can use these tongs to fry ONLY ONE side of the taco shell. The tongs will NOT flip so the other side of the taco body cooks in the oil. Interestingly, they COULD bend the tongs a few degrees out of phase, and everything would fit perfectly in a regular frying pan. They didn't. Mine went in the trash.
