Review on ๐Ÿ’ช Double-Sided Waterproof Neodymium Power Magnets by Elvis Kimbro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong, many uses, but plan your use well

First, plan your project carefully. First, fast delivery, excellent seller. I can be a bit harsh in the rating but mainly due to my problems during use and the seller has a better but more expensive option. Tape Con1-3m does not stick to felt or fabric for very long when attached to the side of an object. Even if pressed for 1 minute and left to dry for about 24 hours. The magnet slides/retracts when a shear weight/weight is applied. Using the glue with the 3m tape didn't work because the glue didn't cure or stuck to the 3m tape. As I said, this isn't good for my use case, but the tape method can work on a clean, flat surface, and possibly the non-fabric side of a flat, clean surface. Wear clean gloves when applying tape to a magnet or surface. Dirt and oils break down the adhesive and won't set or stay in place. So make sure your tape is perfectly aligned with the magnet when applying and applying to the surface. Con2 - although it should be known that these are very hard/brittle magnets. If another magnet comes into contact with another, or if a metal object is drawn into the magnet, it will break or shatter. To act with caution. The best option for this are magnets with brackets that have pre-drilled holes that come with a screw. Helps protect the magnet from 3 sides and attaches much better. They are more expensive and must be screwed. They are also available through this seller. I would even say that using backings with glue or double sided tape is the best option as the magnet is better protected from damage. Do not store or place magnets near electronic devices (TV, mobile phone, computer, game console) or digital storage devices of any kind. They will be damaged, erased or destroyed. This is a basic procedure for almost any magnet, so use caution. Ferrous metals (steel/iron) can and will most likely become magnetized if left on a strong magnet for a while or if the object has been pulled off the magnet many times. Drag/pull the object, don't slide on it. (That's why mounting is important.) I tried mounting a few about 1-2 inches apart (vertically and horizontally) to give the mount extra strength, but the magnets attracted and the one with the weaker adhesive broke himself and clung to the other. Luckily it didn't break. So they are pretty powerful and have many uses, they just aren't ideal for my use case and there are better options for similar uses. Rather than returning mine, I'm sure I'll find another use for them. The only tricky parts are A-storage and B-removing the tape, or peeling off the tape for storage and then re-taping. A good option for the seller would be to provide staples with no holes to insert for added protection.
