A pair of my tall boots had a broken zipper, so I ordered these tongues as a more financially viable option than replacing the entire zipper. The tab went (barely) into the zipper hole and all seemed to go fine. Just a few weeks after I bought the tabs, they broke when I zipped them up. If you've ever tried to take off tall boots without a tongue or functional zipper, you can imagine how difficult it is. Anyway, I still have the second tongue, but I'm not sure it would work much better, especially since the design for the opening is a little big - and the zips on my boots are definitely not tiny.
