For several days I was struggling to reattach my exhaust manifolds to the Chevrolet 5.7L 350. I thought my headers were misshapen and looked for new or good used ones. Luckily I spoke to a guy at work who said it was on a Chevy 350 with the stock header and the extension to adjust the number of lugs on the block. I immediately researched, found this tool and ordered two. After they arrived I went to my truck and used them. I first tightened the center bolts and then used a manifold expansion tool, being careful not to overstretch them as this could cause a crack in your manifold. Make sure the manifold holes line up with the holes in the block. I put the screws in and tightened them up. Everything worked well and both collectors were back on the truck within an hour.
