Description of πŸ”§ Exhaust Manifold Spreader for Small Block Chevrolet Engines by Lisle 13000

A simple way to expand a warped manifold so all bolt holes are accurately aligned. Helps prevent cross-threading of manifold bolts. Works best when used in pairs or install before removing manifold to prevent misalignment. Skin-packed.

Amazing tool, best in manifolds and parts

Amazing tool never used until my buddy told me about this tool. And then I bought some stock collectors from a junkyard and needed this tool that's driving me nuts.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Some bugs

Great quality, great price, a real lifesaver.

Good quality tool, very well made, durable. I couldn't have finished what I was doing without him, a real life saver, and at a great price too. I am very happy with my purchase πŸ‘

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Not bad

Worked well: exhaust and emissions

The right tool for every job. Had engines swapped out in the suburbs in '93 and needed a couple of them to straighten a deformed manifold. I fought with them for several hours before I bought these. Once it took less than 10 minutes aside.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Fast and easy to use. Distribution board installation made easy.

They worked as advertised and were quick and easy to use. I've used a few on every manifold installation. I've used them with the motor on a pedestal, but I don't see them any less useful when installed in a vehicle that takes up reasonable space.

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

The work just got a lot easier

I bought two of these truck headers in the late 90's and they were almost impossible to install. They make installation much easier. I wasn't able to spread the manifolds far enough to line up the screw holes precisely, but I wasn't afraid to turn the fasteners as usual. The work lasted more than 1 hour, and the nervous work was reduced to about 20 minutes. I would buy again. And would recommend buying two

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • The list will be long.

sometimes they are really needed.

I have four of these, I started using them because I had a good elbow that moved the bolt hole about 1/4 inch after I took it off. This brings me to an important point. I couldn't push the manifold back out once it was pinched. I learned my lesson and when I changed the engine on my truck I tightened them up before removing the headers to keep their shape. There is no problem with screw hole matching if they are reversed. They work very well.

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • packaging is ugly

Exactly what I needed!

For several days I was struggling to reattach my exhaust manifolds to the Chevrolet 5.7L 350. I thought my headers were misshapen and looked for new or good used ones. Luckily I spoke to a guy at work who said it was on a Chevy 350 with the stock header and the extension to adjust the number of lugs on the block. I immediately researched, found this tool and ordered two. After they arrived I went to my truck and used them. I first tightened the center bolts and then used a manifold expansion…

Pros
  • The Best

  • Some Cons
